& Other Stories Dublin

& Other Stories will be opening its first store in Ireland this Autumn. I am a massive fan of stores that sell statement pieces that are unique, well tailored, true to form and easy to wear and that is exactly what you will find in & Other Stories. They have a range of cuts and collections to reflect your personality, that will definitely help you to tell your story. (The Stockholm Collection. All images from the & Other Stories Autumn/Winter Lookbook) The & Other Stories Ateliers in Stockholm and Paris have designed two elegant and stylish collections for Autumn Winter 2016.  The Paris Atelier reinterprets the idea of retro futurism, while the Stockholm Atelier reveals shapes and colours inspired by Japanese culture and modernism. Together they present an array of options for the modern day woman. I particularly love the sharp lines mixed and traditional detail in the Stockholm collection and think that the pieces are timeless and versatile. (

Workwear Wardrobe

It's that time of year again, where you're gearing up to give your workwear wardrobe its annual autumn/winter overhaul. The days are definitely getting too much chilly for sleeveless blouses and dainty dresses (unless you're going to wear them with a cuddly cardy of course)... But you still want to look stylish and sophisticated although you have to wrap up that little bit more! Well,  I've got you covered (literally). Here is my guide to Autumn/Winter Workwear. Monochrome No matter the season, monochrome will always be stylish. Invest in a timeless black dress, a tailored pair of black trousers and a stylish white shirt. Try to only choose styles that suits your body shape. For example, tailored A-Line pieces and anything that gives the waist definition look great on curvy women, while fitted styles that create the illusion of curves look great on petite ladies. An Alternative to Botox – The Guinot Hydradermie Facial at Sam McCauley’s

I think it's safe to say that we love our beauty treatments in Ireland. It's also probably true to say that most women of a certain age have definitely contemplated Botox at some stage. It's a sign of the times, and Botox seems to be the remedy of choice for people who have spent years neglecting the prevention process or for people who are looking for an easy way to take the years off. However, it is important to remember that there are anti-ageing treatments other than Botox. For instance, the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles can be lessened by choosing to eat a healthy diet, by drinking 2 litres of water a day, by exercising regularly to reduce stress and worry and by sticking to the rules. You can also take the years off with the Guinot Hydradermie facial if the rules just aren't your thing and if Botox doesn't float your boat. I recently started having Guinot Hydradermie sessions in Sam McCauley's and wanted to review the treatment for you all, as I have found it is ama

Golds, coppers, rose golds and pink tones are stunning on light brown eyes as they highlight the intensity of colour within the eye. Retrospeck, All That Glitters, Expensive Pink, Tempting, Woodwinked and Amber Lights are all beautiful golds, rose golds and coppers to use on the lid. Add definition to these looks with beautiful browns - such as Antiqued, Bronze or Embark. Use the deeper colours on the crease and the outer corners. Patina 'a taupe brown with a hint of gold'  really enhances brown eyes. Combine it with Mulch for the perfect eyeshadow pairing. Similarly, Satin Taupe and Mulch work well together. Gorgeous greens, such as Sumptuous Olive, wear amazingly with a hint of black on brown eyes. Either use some black eyeliner to tight line, or define or smoke out the look with a black eyeshadow such as Typ
