Makeup Must Haves

As a makeup artist, I'm constantly trying out new products. As a result, I tend to chop and change my daily makeup routine quite often. My primary focus is always on using quality products that are effective in creating a flawless, radiant makeup look. My current makeup routine is simple and quick. I want to look natural yet polished, so I use the following products: Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation This is a great full coverage foundation that can be easily buffed into the skin. This creates a flawless but very natural base. NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard This evens skin tone and balances any pigmentation, while covering and diminishing any blemishes and imperfections. This is one of the best concealers on the market as it is designed to last. MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Powder in Natural This is a lovely finishing powder that really sets the foundation and holds everything in place throughout the day. MAC Blush in Well Dressed This blush

Brown Eyed Girl – Best MAC Shadows for Brown Eyes

Have you got beautiful brown eyes? Do you need eyeshadow combinations that are guaranteed to make your brown eyes smoulder? Here are my MAC choices for you. Golds, coppers, rose golds and pink tones are stunning on light brown eyes as they highlight the intensity of colour within the eye. Retrospeck, All That Glitters, Expensive Pink, Tempting, Woodwinked and Amber Lights are all beautiful golds, rose golds and coppers to use on the lid. Add definition to these looks with beautiful browns - such as Antiqued, Bronze or Embark. Use the deeper colours on the crease and the outer corners. Patina 'a taupe brown with a hint of gold'  really enhances brown eyes. Combine it with Mulch for the perfect eyeshadow pairing. Similarly, Satin Taupe and Mulch work well together. Gorgeous greens, such as Sumptuous Olive, wear amazingly with a hint of black on brown eyes. Either use some black eyeliner to tight line, or define or smoke out the look with a black eyeshadow such as Typ

My Top 3 Mascaras

If you've been reading my columns over the last few days, you'll have seen that I’ve been selecting my favourite makeup basics. While we’re on the subject of must-have makeup, let’s take a look at mascaras. No makeup look is complete without a brilliant mascara. It opens the eyes by adding length, volume and definition to the lashes and it makes the eyes really stand out. While there are several different types to choose from, from lash-extending to volumising to thickening, it can be quite hard to choose the right one to get the job done. Here are my die-hard favourites. I love a lot of NARS products and their ‘Larger Than Life’ Volumising Mascara is no different. The mascara ‘delivers volume and curl for high impact lashes.’ The brush is the main feature of this mascara. It is honeycomb shaped, which means it can pick up and apply enough product without it smudging or flaking. The formula is also quite rich and luxurious and it really coats and darkens the

My Top 3 Concealers

Let’s get back to basics! Recently, I reviewed my top three foundations, but no great foundation is complete without an amazing concealer. A concealer, to me, is like a little magic wand that corrects and erases blemishes, under eye circles and imperfections in a few simple strokes. It brightens the face and makes it appear even more flawless than with a foundation alone. My top concealer has got to be the Estee Lauder Double Wear Stay-In-Place Flawless Wear Concealer, which lasts for an astounding 15 hours! It delivers medium coverage, which helps achieve that flawless complexion. The lightweight formula goes on seamlessly and doesn’t crease due to its transfer-resistant, colour-true formula. Although the formula is oil free, it is really blendable because the concealer is infused with vitamins and emollients which nourish and condition the skin. I highly recommend this! It really is budge proof makeup. Secondly, I love the Dior Diorskin Nude Skin Perfecting Hy

My Top Three Foundations

Foundation plays such an important role in your makeup routine. It evens the complexion and conceals pigmentation. It's not always easy, however, to find a foundation to match your skin type or one that matches your skin tone. Don't worry, I'm here to help! Here is a list of my top three foundations with reviews on coverage, skin type and shade selection. Laura Mercier Candleglow Luminous Foundation is a gorgeous foundation for those who like sheer to medium finish with buildable coverage. This foundation’s lightweight formula creates a dewy luminous glow and is ideal for occasion or bridal makeup. I would recommend you set this with a translucent powder. This may not be the best foundation for oily skin as it might be a bit too dewy, but it is cosmogenic, so it’s guaranteed to keep your pores clean. The product comes in some pretty packaging which adds to its appeal. There are 24 shades to choose from and if you are between shades, always opt for the lighter one
