The Best MAC Eyeshadows for Blue Eyes

I’m sure that a few of you, like me, are self-confessed eyeshadow addicts. While I love a good palette, I also think it’s a great idea to collect single pan shadows and create your own palettes. MAC eyeshadows are my all-time favourites. The colour pay off is great, they have a good selection of matte and pearly shadows and the shadow collection spans through every possible colour you could ever wish to put on your eyelids. The range is vast and you’re always going to find something to suit your skin tone and eye colour.

I have decided to do some quick and easy eyeshadow combinations to suit the colour of your eyes. In this post, you will learn how to enhance blue eyes and make them mesmerize. Pink, lavender, taupe, copper and cranberry shadows will make blue eyes sparkle, but my go-to colour combination to create stunning smoky eye looks for blue eyes is gold and brown.

  1. Prep the eyes with some primer and MAC Vanilla or MAC Ochre eyeshadow.
  2. Create a simple smoky eye by carefully placing All That Glitters, a lovely neutral shade, over the lid and inner corners. This has a nice bit of sparkle to make the eye pop.  Keep applying layers of shadow until you are happy with the desired effect and blend.
  3. Use Cork above the crease as a transition shade and blend upwards. Also use this to lightly define your outer V.
  4. Use a rich brown like Embark to add more depth and definition. Place it right into the crease and define your outer V . This will give the desired smokiness to this look out and create a Cat Eye effect. Bring this down under the eye and blend it into the lower lash line. This defines the eye.
  5. Make sure to blend all your colours together to buff out any harsh lines and to create a seamless eyeshadow effect.
  6. Line the eyes with MAC’s Power Point Eye Pencil in Engraved and if you want some winged liner on your top lashes, line with the Inglot Gel Liner in 77. Finish with lashings of mascara and some false lashes if desired.

Bronze, Woodwinked  and Amber Lights are some other fab colours that work beautifully on blue eyes. Apply your chosen colour to the entire eyelid and blend. Smudge some black kohl liner along the top lash line and cakeline the waterline to achieve a sultry effect. Again, layer on the mascara. These work  beautifully with a nude lip at this time of year, or a rich red lip in winter.

Beauty Marked is a sexy, sultry dark purple that has glitter particles in it. This is a beautiful shadow for a night out. Line and tightline as before. And lots of mascara! I also love Expensive Pink, a gorgeous champagne colour for blue eyes.
