Brown Eyed Girl – Best MAC Shadows for Brown Eyes

Have you got beautiful brown eyes? Do you need eyeshadow combinations that are guaranteed to make your brown eyes smoulder? Here are my MAC choices for you.

Golds, coppers, rose golds and pink tones are stunning on light brown eyes as they highlight the intensity of colour within the eye.

Retrospeck, All That Glitters, Expensive Pink, Tempting, Woodwinked and Amber Lights are all beautiful golds, rose golds and coppers to use on the lid. Add definition to these looks with beautiful browns – such as Antiqued, Bronze or Embark. Use the deeper colours on the crease and the outer corners.

Patina ‘a taupe brown with a hint of gold’ ┬áreally enhances brown eyes. Combine it with Mulch for the perfect eyeshadow pairing. Similarly, Satin Taupe and Mulch work well together.

Gorgeous greens, such as Sumptuous Olive, wear amazingly with a hint of black on brown eyes. Either use some black eyeliner to tight line, or define or smoke out the look with a black eyeshadow such as Typographic or Carbon.

Blacks and greys also work beautifully on brown eyes. Try using Vex on the lid. Vex is a stunning silvery grey, or try Copperplate if you prefer a more intense matte effect. Use a black like Carbon or Typographic in the crease.  This will work well on all age groups. Adjust the amount of black shadow used to suit the level of definition and intensity that you want the look to have. More mature ladies might only want to use a hint of black to create some subtle definition.

Knight Divine is a beautiful shade to use all over the lid. It’s a gorgeous muted black with a silver pearl that looks amazing with lashings of mascara and black kohl pencil.

If you want to take this look to the next level and make your eyes truly mesmerise, use Black Tied instead of Knight Divine. Black Tied is an intense black with glitter particles and is perfect for nights out or for Debs. This look is probably better suited to younger ladies, but again, it’s all down to personal preference.

Brown eyes can pull off a huge variety of colours. If you want to create a colourful look – purples, teals, cobalt blues, navys, hot pinks and reds can all look amazing. Satellite Dreams paired with Nocturnelle is a gorgeous combo on chocolate eyes.

Or invest in the Navy Times Nine palette which features some nice subtle navys and greys to play around with. Intense colours such as Coppering and Sushi Flower can work well on chocolate eyes and really suit darker skin. Use a subtle reddish brown such as Chocolate Swiss in the crease to add depth.

Brule is the perfect colour to highlight the brow bone and the inner corners of the eyes, while black, navy and white eyeliners all look amazing on brown eyes. And definitely ensure that you invest in a great mascara and a fabulous brow product. I cannot fault the Sleek Brow Kit. It offers incredible value for money and is every bit as good (if not better than) its rival products.

I hope some of you found this helpful. What colours do you brown eyed girls prefer to wear? And will you be trying any of these combinations. Let me know on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter. And if you have any makeup related questions, don’t be afraid to ask.
